(COVID-19) Update – 3/16/20

GradWeek Travelers & Parents,

We are in an unprecedented time as we all try and cope with the COVID-19 virus and the adjustments we need to make in our lives to stay healthy. School closures, overseas travel restrictions, large venue closures, and social distancing are only a few of the changes we all need to incorporate in our lives over the coming weeks.

During this difficult and challenging time, we all need to show patience and understanding as we all navigate individually and collectively through this pandemic. We are in uncharted waters but with an understanding of the challenges ahead and a willingness to adapt, we will overcome this situation.

We realize that many of you are anxious about your upcoming GradWeek Trip. We want you to know that our Operations Team is working closely with our travel suppliers. We are all closely monitoring the situation as we get updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), government agencies and other global health organizations. The CDC continues to state that for most people, the immediate risk of being exposed to the COVID virus is considered low at this time. Further, if exposed, the people with the highest risk for battling the virus are the elderly and those with underlying health conditions.

At this moment, it remains too early to determine the climate in late May and June as it pertains to your trip. If we see the situation not clearing up or even worsening, we will look to postpone the trip to later in the summer. The health and safety of our travelers remain our number one priority!

Please understand that airlines, hotels, and travel suppliers are also battling challenges never encountered before. We continue to ask for your patience as we work through this pandemic.

For the most up to date information concerning COVID-19, please refer to the following websites:

  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention – www.cdc.gov

For those travelers who are not willing to wait for updates or are simply not wanting to travel any longer, you may cancel with a written statement and emailing it to info@istours.com. You will receive a refund of all funds paid to date less a $300 reduced cancellation penalty. The normal cancellation penalty currently is $500. We will continue the $300 reduced cancellation penalty through March 31, 2020. It is important to note that currently there have been no groups wanting to cancel.

Please know that we will continue to send updates and post them to our website as new information becomes available.
