GradWeek Hawaii Travelers & Parents,
As many of you have heard, on Thursday, June 24, 2020, the Governor of Hawaii announced that starting August 1, 2020, all visitors will be required to present a COVID-19 TR-PCR Negative (Swab) Test upon arrival. Results must be no more than three (3) days old (72 Hours).
Depending on where you live, tests can be obtained in a variety of ways, even at many CVS Pharmacies. You can go online, fill out a form, and make an appointment. However, please remember that your test must be done no sooner than three (3) days (72-hours) of your scheduled departure date, so you will want to inquire about the Rapid Test. Results are typically the same day. Remember, it can’t be more than three (3) days old. Please take into account that the time to get results can vary.
Please go to https://www.hawaiitourismauthority.org/news/alerts/covid-19-novel-coronavirus/ for the latest updates to the testing requirements. The State of Hawaii is still finalizing the guidelines and procedures for test submission, and that information should be released soon. We felt it was important to keep up-to-date, and you informed so you can start reaching your area (even visit your county’s website for more information about Coronavirus testing) and plan your test accordingly.
These measures will help promote safe and responsible travel during this unprecedented time.
